NEI RoHS Announcement
1.) RoHS Announcement
Northlake Engineering continues its transition to providing the availability of Lead (Pb)-Free compliant products. Northlake defines "Lead (Pb)-Free" or "Pb-Free" to mean products that are compatible with the current RoHS requirements for all six substances (cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, and both polybrominated biphenyl, and polybrominated diphenyl ether flame retardants), including the requirements that lead not exceed 0.1% by weight in homogeneous material.
On January 27, 2003, the European Parliament and Council of the European Union passed the "Restriction on Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment," or "RoHS" legislation 2002/95/EC, which becomes effective July 1, 2006.
2.) RoHS Transition Announcement
Northlake recognizes that customers require availability of Pb-Free products and has set an aggressive schedule for Pb-Free conversion in response to customer’s needs. We are currently providing RoHS compliant parts to customer specifications. Please contact us for additional information on any parts that require compliance.
